A film produced by French professor Sana Alaya Segar and her husband, Issa Ltaief, honors President Grant Cornwell and his decade of service to Rollins.
As a surprise tribute to Grant Cornwell upon his retirement, French professor Sana Alaya Segar and her husband, Issa Ltaief, produced a film honoring Cornwell’s leadership as the 15th president of Rollins.
Ltaief is the founder of Beyond Pictures, a communications agency that offers consulting, design, and film production services. When Segar told him that Cornwell had announced his retirement, Ltaief said, “A career like his deserves to be celebrated; it could inspire so many people. Let’s make a film.”
Ltaief and Segar interviewed everyone from board members and faculty and staff to Cornwell’s colleagues at other higher-ed institutions and professional organizations—all of whom spoke to Cornwell’s enduring impact.
“Meeting and getting to know so many wonderful people from different backgrounds was incredibly enriching,” says Ltaief. ”We had meaningful conversations around leadership and values. What touched me most was realizing how one person’s leadership style can inspire not just respect but genuine affection from those around them. That has really stayed with me. It has been an absolute honor to create this film in celebration of President Cornwell.”
